Yeah.. You're right. I'm crying. Sorry... I know it takes awhile for these things to be put out... I'll shut up now and wait till they come out.... Good post to snap me back into reality.

I think you're only partially correct. When companies hype these things, then nothing is heard for months, people tend to get over it, or frustrated, due to the lack of information. People also know that even before they are put up for p.o., it will be around a year before they come out.

So it isn't whining, necessarily, it's hype, then crickets, then p.o., then waiting around a year for said product to come out. We expect quality, but waiting a long time never guarantees it, as proven on a consistent basis.

I always enjoy the feeling of anticipation with statues and look forward to getting them. If it's a year or more and delayed somewhat I squeeze more enjoyment out of it. I really don't feel any rush. Yet I am among, the oldest (in age, not in statue collecting years) of the collectors on the Forum (probably the oldest) so perhaps I should feel in a hurry to get them. lol

To get back into the enthusiasm for a piece I just ogle the pictures saved and my enthusiasm comes back.

A year waiting time (after PO) is dueable,
but 1.5 up to two is too much.

Longest wait for me was the Paratrooper PF at least 2.5 years

Try waiting longer than that for something only to get nothing or a vague non-official confirmation of the line not continuing...

I'm fine with waiting for quality after an item is up for order and the edition size is confirmed. We're talking detailed statues and no one wants rush jobs or Rogue and Psylocke situations. We want them to look like the prototype and last for years.

I will say that waiting for glimpsed variants is the new thing I'm disappointed in. I try not to get excited about anything Sideshow does until they place it up for pre-order or it's at SDCC. But when you see a potential variant like the Queen you can't help to be curious since the normal is up for order.
