Asami Yamazaki from the movie
Audition (1999) by Kitbash
One-plus year ago, during the first Covid lockdown, i decided to have a crack at a 1/6th scale kitbash based on the character Asami Yamazaki from the movie Audition (1999)
I figured this character stood next to no chance of becoming available officially. Working out how to solve what was required component wise to create something close to what i
had in mind proved quite a challenge.
The creative process helped with the tedium of being stuck home with limited permitted time to exit the house (it was one walk per day, or something like that) legally.
Searching online for components was part of the challenge. Not once could i find exactly what i was looking for. Compromise became key.
I did look into a one-off custom head sculpt. The price, without paint, $1000.00
Needless to say, i passed on that, and customised a head-sculpt found on

Some Time Later..
Using a Hot Toys base (form a Wolverine figure) i set about making a base design.

Using a foot + some FIMO modeling clay, i set about making an amputated foot.
I have to admit. Once i was done with this figure, i had so much respect for Hot Toys and what they
pull-off using their years of experience. It hit home just how difficult it is working at 1/6 scale.
