Looks great and a lot better in video. I would have preferred the portraits facing forward or looking slightly down. I like a more menacing look for Dr. Doom as oppose to heroic.

I prefer the stance on the 1/4 released by HCG a while back.

Instant pre-order for me, incredible statue. The only downside is, my cabinet will at most accommodate about 30"/75cm height, so I'll have to display him without the banner.

I’m planning on custom shelving for our next house, but I have no idea what kind of space I’ll have to work with. At least the overall footprint is not too bad, and there’s the option without the banners. I really like the backdrop though.

I can’t believe people are setting the price for ssc to increase their statues even higher. Seriously, $780 should not be a new norm for a 1/4 statue unless it has an elaborate base.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

I think the custom market has really affected statue pricing in general. Honestly though, everything comic related is jumping up. Graded comics, art, commission work, etc.

Difference with customs is that they are making dozens not thousands of statues. That’s why customs generally cost more. If customs made thousands, then prices would be much lower.

It's just general inflation, nothing to do with customs. Physical goods in particular did increase greatly as production dropped and people hoarded/normal activities suffered.

I'd rather pay 780,- for this this than what people are asking for the Doom on throne PF.
