be careful when you read those internet forums. some get really picky about things. oh wait. that's like here.

I'm going to pull the plug! I'm buying from Cameta Camera on Ebay, using live.com, I'll get back $200, so it will cost me $907.95. That's $200 cheaper than B&H. Wish me luck!

Never mind...

Sorry, this item is not eligible for cashback.

The cashback worked for Norman's Camera! $909! Woo-Hoo!

Ed - Can you post some pics with it & the XTi?

Thanks

Why do you like having a battery grip?

The lens is coming with a hood. Excuse my ignorance, but what's the purpose of a hood?

Do you think my statue shots will still be sharper with the 60mm, because it's a prime?

Shoot some Bowen FSs, so I can compare!

i like the added feel of the grip and the additional battery life. the XTi/XSi just feels too small for my hands. i like the larger size cameras. it's just personal preference.

the hood helps to avoid any light flares and is also extra protection for the lens..

as for sharpness.. it's often said that primes are going to have the edge over zooms but they're quite good and it's very hard to tell unless you're looking for it.. ok, uploading a few pics. these were all taken at the long end. 70mm
