Have You Gotten Broken Statues in the mail?

Hi,

I was just wondering,

How many of you have gotten broken statues when you opened your mail packages?

Just wanted to assess how often this occurs.
I heard a certain u.s courier is notorious for handling packages poorly, and people end up getting broken stuff.

I have only gotten two brocken statues in the mail. One was too far damaged to repair so I sent it back and got my money back. The second one I was able to fix myself, and it looks fine.

Well, as an ebaY seller who's shipped 100+ over the past 2 months, I can say that only 2 broke in transit.

It wasn't due to my packing because I tend to overdo it (which costs a fortune in tape, bubblewrap, and popcorn) and the items are very secure.

Of the two that broke, one is notorious for breaking when shipped and the other, I suspect was the buyers fault while removing it from the box.

Anyway, one which was very expensive was insured (thank God) and the other I just sent the dude his money back.

Oh, then there was a person that said one broke, and when I asked for proof, I never heard from him again.

I ship exclusively through USPS and they suck so bad in handling packages, that I'm surprised I haven't had more broken in transit.



As far as me receiving broken statues.. I've received tons in the mail and have only had 2 broken. Spider-Man Movie Green Goblin which was smashed beyond repair (seller ripped me off, IMO), and a Lady Demon FS where the mirror in the sculpt was smashed and her arm broken (I got my money back)

yup I've gotten a few broken ones sent. fed ex, ups and usps have all deliverd broken items to me. the worst damage though is with UPS shippers than the others. have not recieved a DHL package yet sdo cannot comment on their shipping service

I have a friend who works for UPS loading, washing, and gassing trucks and you wouldn't believe the stories he's told me.

Ive gotten a couple broken statues..
But for the number i have bought it isnt so bad..

knock on wood..no broken statues yet, but is nice to buy from a third party that inspects before shipping.

Yup. I've gotten 3 total. One, a Shifflet Satanika statue, that was smashed into a million pieces by UPS (the worst one, because its very rare, and I waited for a hookup on this one FOREVER). A Bruckner Supes that was cracked on one ankle and broked on the other, probably already broken by the seller I think. And one NECA Nightcrawler that some moron tossed into a thin cardboard box with some packing popcorn. Sellers need to use a bit more common sense when packing such fragile merch.

I got about 6 broken ones in the mail, but thats cause i bought them broken and cheap as all hell to customize!

Only one statue for now, and it's more a manufacturer problem than shipping damage...got at least three or four squeezed blistercard figure, that's probably it.
