Exclamation

This is posted by Ronny Haze at the Freaks forum.

Really feel sorry for him and pretty angry companies make/release sh*t like this for 1000+ euros (any statue release actually). The whole head is stencilled not only the main crown (maybe body&hands too?). He got 3 heads with air bubbles and cracks all over them. Small eye-decals I can understand but have no words for this. And also look at the putty glued mouth seam.

But even when stencil is tightly applied, would that not mean paint can flake of more easily in future, bcs it is applied directly on thin plastic sheet ?? and is prob bad bonding surface, right !

They have to stop using large stencils, why not use lasercut sheet pattern and airbrush the main pattern.
mine will arrive in two weeks / i will spam their mailbox if they try to shift end result like this on me.

Fortunately this is an isolated incident. One out of ~1000.

Higher chance of dying from COVID.

They used decals on the whole head... and the spot patterns are still jagged and splotchy as if poorly hand-painted?

That settles it, then. They deliberately made this one look like cr-- er, like the comics in order to justify the 1/3 announcement. It's really not hard when designing a decal to adjust the spots so they'll look cleaner. The fact that they left weird overlaps and sharp points suggests they worked fast and chose not to fine-tune.

I suppose we should count ourselves lucky the overall piece is still decent, even nice by some standards, but P1's attitude remains disappointing.

May well be only small percentage of total run. But i find this outcome very disturbing and they chose cheap solution for such high priced product. This should be combination of handpainted and airbrushed and only small highres decals where absolutely necessary. Also bad that a mess like this is even sent to costumers.

They used black paint for weathering and sealing edges of stencils. Now i'm worried about flaking in future bcs of poor bonding between paint and stencil or stencil with sculpt.
I have both on order. Bad stencil work is not fixable and need full replacement.

Don't forget that a lot of the predator collectors where just as pumped/drooling about this release (when shown) as they are now for the 1:3 and the price/profit was high enough.

Pity it is still a rollercoaster with every statue from any brand bcs of false promises between factories and producers and finally towards customers.

I'm not going to collect any new line. These predators are my last gamble.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

As I said in the other forum, those heads are probably the worst QC I've ever seen on any statue I can recall.

Wow. That looks horrendous. Hopefully they offer him a replacement without a hassle.

After watching the video posted on Freaks, I'm kinda worried for mine. No way that should have ever left the factory. I definitely will be adding the gloss to it to seal it if mine looks like it doesn't have it.
