Looks like Humberto Ramos to me.

I try to remain open to various artists' styles, but that immediately provoked a strong negative response.

Ramos definitely draws distorted figures, but his illustration in general is fantastic. Much rather him than Romita Jr.

I've never really been a fan of either.

If I'm going to see Spidey drawn with crazy proportions I'd go Philip Tan or Mike Deodato as both do it amazingly well.

I'd take JR JR over Ramos any day of the week. At least JR JR'S work is moody and dark. Ramos does absolutely nothing for me.

Yeah I think that was Ramos. It’s very cartoony. I like JR JR’s Spidey art. His style fits Spidey, where to me it doesn’t really fit someone like Hulk.

Amazing Spider-Man artists I’ve enjoyed in recent years that come to mind are Stefano Caselli

And Ryan Ottley. Kinda cartoony, but more restrained than Ramos and it worked for the blood and gore of “Invincible” which was partially inspired by Spider-Man so for me this is him coming full circle.

I want a Scorpion just like that. He looks modern but still classic. With swap out classic portrait and swap out classic tail.
