Same, first thing I noticed as well.
That said, I think the changes look pretty good. I don't want to beat a dead horse but the fabric cape prevents me from buying this, I like it overall though.

I don't have this on order, so no horse in this race but I imagine most collectors will overall be happy with the production piece. Be curious to see some in hand pics, hopefully soon.

yeah she has a little less of an elvis sneer now. i dont have this on order but i think it looks a little better imo

I feel like the production pics are a tad washed out compared to the proto pics.
I still like what I see in the production pics, tho.

The best thing about the proto was the portrait, and they went and changed it?
Well, what can i say?
I passed on this piece. I am more than happy, super happy in fact with the XM Studios piece, which looks amazing.
Maybe Sideshow will pull a Psylocke stunt, and offer the original (proto) portrait further down the line.
