Yeah that statue also looks like crap. Again I've seen a few people saying they think it looks good. Literally no idea how they can think that tbh. It's a plastic piece of crap with a poor sculpt, horrible mouth sculpt, awful teeth and an a terrible paint job... If that version of the warrior is anything to go by this 'mythos' piece will also be a piece of crap.

I have 0 interest in the mythos alien. It's another invented piece that looks terrible and has no place in any alien collectors collection unless they really do have either:
a) far too much money to throw at crappy statues.

b) have everything else and want to collect every single piece going.

c) no taste :P.

d) hate Giger.

This recent warrior statue really is especially bad. But they have shown in the past that they are capable of making decent Aliens. The lifesize Warrior bust and the maquette from a few years ago were really good. Back to that kind of thing please Sideshow. The competition hasn't caught up, so much overtaken.

if they want to go the mythos route i would have genuinely been interested in a bull alien or gorilla alien like the old toys. at least that would have some nostalgic element to it AND look cool, would have taken me back to my first experience with this franchise regardless of never being in the movies. maybe im the super minority on this but a bull alien in sideshow style could have been bad ass i think

This alien looks like it's grown from a giant turd pile. Maybe the thing wouldn't look so bad if there were more grey and silver hues to offset the turd brown tones.

The sad thing about all of this is that i am pretty sure somebody worked so hard on this statue but it just does not look good. I am 100% sure this statue is going to be cobwebbed up in a warehouse somewhere because hardly anybody is going to want this.

This is exactly what I said earlier in the week. I had this entire toy line. Used to draw all the arcade games aliens. There's a huge well they could draw from. Instead we get a melted caramel on a glass bong.
