Queen Studios: Iron Man Mark III Bust

Wanted to see some type of preview for the Mark 3 so I could decide if I was going to cancel my order for the Sideshow version or let it ride. Now I don’t know what to do!

So according to QS on instagram they wanted to display this but couldnt get it to the show on time, it will possibly be shown at the China Joy convention next month.

I Still don't know if this MKIII piece is a statue or a bust.

Hopefully it worked out all for the best. I know we wanna see it all but honestly they had enough and whatever this ends up being would have just been MOAR.

Hopefully a bust before I wind up with the new SS one.

I’m sure they could of got it to the show if they really wanted to even in fresh 3D print form. It’s more likely they didn’t want to impact the preorders of the other busts/statues

They can definitely improve on the base can’t believe they’re still using that same design after all these years!
I’ll give ss props though they got a good finish on it especially the gold on the faceplate.

Yes. Definitely.

But that will only be because they’ll have more of the body present.

From what I’ve seen the Mark 3 bust is probably the best IM bust that Sideshow have ever released.

The Mark 42 that I was stupid enough to preorder when I was a beginner collector was and still is trash in comparison.

That's a good point about there being more body to queen's bust. I personally would have been happy with less, I.e. sideshow's original busts. Then their next ones included shoulders and arc reactor. May as well stick some legs on and call it a full statue lol

I'm looking forward to seeing how queen can improve and what features/ flaps and weapons they will include with this one

Hoping it's 1/4 statue. Would love for this to replace my Sideshow 1/4 mk 3 since the footprint on that statue is quite big.

Edit: nvm, pg 3 QS confirmed it's a bust.

They’ll be releasing a 1/4 MK III though I’m pretty sure. There seems to be one in that IM group shot.

The Sideshow one does have a lot of body and shoulders but I suppose the queen one could be crisper with the sculpt.
