At the time of its last flight, Discovery was the oldest operating shuttle. From August 1984 to March 2011, the shuttle Discovery made 39 space flights, spent 365.5 days in space, made 5830 revolutions around the Earth, and flew a total of 238.54 million km. The shuttle Discovery delivered the Hubble Space Telescope into orbit and participated in two missions to maintain it.
