I just watched the last two videos and this came out much better than I expected. Both Gentle Giant and Diamond Select have had trouble with likenesses and random paint jobs. The combination seems to be on a good path.

TBH, the portrait reminds me of a young Margot Kidder in this vid with that lighting and angle.
Overall it appears to be very consistent to the prototype - so whatever people thought of that...

Better than most of their human likeness IMO. Still on the fence. It is sort of an iconic scene from ANH.

I agree.
It's around $200 for a 1/6 figure, in an iconic pose that you can't really do well with a Hot Toy.
Not perfect, but then neither was the $500+ 1/4 SSC.

I got this statue a week and a half ago and I think it's gorgeous. None of the 4 or so unboxing videos on YouTube nor the pictures posted online do it justice. It really does just look better in person.
I think her skin tone might be a tad too dark but other than that I have no complaints. I am very surprised by its low ES and it looks like people are already trying to flip it on eBay for ridiculous prices.
