Steve had quite a turnaround...a douchebag early in Season 1, but redeemed himself by the end. And then in Season 2 he became one of the best characters, his friendship with Dustin is a highlight of the entire series.

Wow really?? I'm surprised they just didn't break it up into 4 episodes, with those run times. Holy... Must be packed with pacing to stretch them that far along.

Can't wait to watch the finale, such a great series.

Ha, I didn’t hate him, I just didn’t like him. But like I said, he’s probably my favorite now.

Finally finished last night. I was watching them at a slower pace to soak it all in. I figured out Who 001 was pretty much right after they introduced him as an orderly (Much to my girlfriends dismay) She was even madder at the end when I was right. LOL

When I saw how the bodies at Hawkins lab looked like the same as Vecnas victims my brain just put two and two together. It helped they out of the blue introduced a creepy new character. Did not connect him being the small kid from the flashback scenes though. That was a nice surprise.

Really enjoyed this season and look forward to finishing up in July.

I do agree it was nice to have the least interesting (Annoying) characters doing pretty much zero in California while the more interesting characters were in Hawkins being the A-Team.

I didn't see that teaser for Part II when I first watched the eps. Just rewatched ep 7 and saw it. I assume you guys have?

Looks like my suggestion that the Russia-related story is inconsequential may be wrong, unsurprisingly (which is good)...

Anyway, presumably in Russia, Hopper happens upon a glass containment chamber, filled with swirling dust. Apparently some or all of the Mind Flayer contained by the Russians?? Looks like some basic heaters around the perimeter (since he's vulnerable to heat). Explains his whereabouts in Season 4. But he's in 'our world'?

i did see the dust chamber thing, but i didn't put together it could be the flayer, i thought it was literally just a window into the upside down. so your answer is better

Only 3 more weeks...

...until we have to wait a couple more years for answers...

YAY

Also, came across an article on Variety with a Duffer Brothers interview.

https://variety.com/2022/tv/features...-4-1235284214/

The author asks the Duffers "At what point in the timeline does Eleven create the Upside Down in relation to when the series starts?"...and they...just answer the question, regarding Eleven's age at the time.

So, did they tacitly admit that she created the Upside Down, or slyly sidestep that point?

If the Upside Down is nothing more than Eleven's 'imagination', I'll likely be disappointed, but I suppose that does sort of parallel the Dungeons & Dragons inspiration...

God I hope not...hopefully the question meant to state "At what point in the timeline does Eleven create the portal to the Upside Down in relation to when the series starts?" But if she did create it, hopefully they can make a satisfying justification...c'mon Duffer Brothers, we're counting on you to stay awesome!
