Technically it's not really forced perspective. It's just a miniature representation.
Not really keen on this beyond the basic concept. One detail I do really like, though, is the shoe coming off Lois' left foot.
Very cute.

Actually technically it is. It meets the definition. If you Google the term you're more likely to see examples such as this, rather than the twisted ones that Sideshow is doing.
I like these types of statues. I have Sideshow's Spidey/Mary Jane one, and I was tempted by their Batman/Catwoman pairing as well.

OK. I'll concede that point.
I've always thought of it as "forcing" perspective within one, or both, of the objects/planes being juxtaposed, but the google def boils it down to the basic juxtaposition itself.
Both are more effective illusions in 2D than 3D.

The Rocketeer 1:6 statue from a few years back had a similar concept with the high heel coming off the female character.

I believe Batman Statue Collector on Youtube briefly had footage of this piece when he did a 10-minute walk through at Iron Studio's booth.
Correct me if I'm wrong - I was half falling asleep last night while watching.

Here's an official picture from IS.
But guys, is it just me or does it look like Supes is not even looking into Lois' eyes? lol. That would be a huge fail.

Why in the world wouldn't they take a picture without the glass? Guess we'll have to wait for solicitations to get a really good look at it.
