I love Opera. (: I went to Kidnapping a Girl Grom the Palace by Mozart lastly. If they make Joker 2 an opera, it would be amazing.

I'm none too keen on musicians (attempting) to be actors/actresses

On a positive note, many do not want to simply see Joker 2 be a re_hash of Joker (more of the same)
I guess the plan is to take it a direction few can predict.

Watched Joker last night. Personally, I think a musical is the natural progression for this series. Arthur is a theatrical character that uses music and dance to express himself; combine that with his unreliable interpretation of reality and you can see how a musical would be fitting. The ending itself leads into a musical, with Arthur singing "that's life" and dancing down the corridor. I imagine the sequel will show Arthur fully immersed in his Joker identity, and music and dance are a part of that. I'm in.

I guess it's what your taste is. I don't consider her ugly, but she's not my type either. Maybe Robbie is more pretty in an obvious way. But I can see her being the type to play HQ.

But if it has to be a musical movie, I think she is probably not a bad choice. I don't know if I'll like the movie, since I'm not into musicals, but I'll give it a chance. If it fails, I'll still have the 1st one as one of my favorite movies ever.

i understand comic characters have unrealistic looks and designs. but is it to much to ask to have a somewhat pretty Harley?

Joker (the 1st movie) was considered to take place in his mind, to the point Joker was not The Joker. This Harley might not be DC Harley, but simply another creation in the mind of a mad man who thinks he is Joker.

Maybe Dr. Harleen Quinzel will be real, and he creates Harley in his mind.
