I was thinking about the regular ES at only 200 and cheaper than the DX at 550 ES....so the regular would have a lower run size marked on the base....but nah....DX was the way for me even at more than double the ES size

In most cases, the portraits are (IMHO) generically generated, and lack that spark that you get from a real human face. Sure, its probably cheaper to use a generic two eyes, nose, mouth approach vs paying a real person to pose.....but, I think it would really help these pieces to get to the next level.....oh, and obviously improve the paint apps

I get what you're saying, but I actually strongly disagree with this. The last thing I want is a cosplay actress version of a comic book character. I vastly prefer original faces!

I'm not a fan of statues looking like celebrities either. Unless they played the character in a movie or tv show, I don't want to look on my shelf and see Jennifer Lawrence dressed like Wonder Woman or some ----.

Exactly. Movie version is one thing, but Kirsty Alley as Starfire (ahem) isn't for me.

Cosplay
No, I'm not suggesting they use famous people (they do this a lot in the 1/6 military figures) - I mean just random real people off the street.
