There can't be enough 'Predator'

1/4 hanging from tall well done tree-trunk would be unique design also (infinity studio canceled theirs).

When indeed 1/3, i would skip JH (for now) and go straight for a dynamic Wolf Pred.

Everything about this and who's involved makes it a tall order.

I imagine at 1/3 they can pull off a semi-decent paint app, but there's no way it'll beat Prime 1's lifelike finish. And sculpt accuracy is a dubious notion after how they handled (and defended) Conan. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I don't have much faith in their commitment to accuracy or sharp, intricate details (which you need at a large scale).

Optimistically this will be on the level of the Cinemaquette, maybe a little ahead of it, but Prime 1 completely changed the game with their release. The bar is so much higher than it used to be. I remember when Sideshow dropped their last Jungle Hunter and we thought all it needed was better facial proportions, repositioned thigh armor, and a head without polka dots. Doing those things today won't be enough to win the top spot, not anymore.

If this were a 1/4, they could win me over with practicality.

PCS has undeniable gotten better over the past couple years, but doing a Jungle Hunter Predator that can top Prime 1's? To say it's a long shot is an understatement. Just topping the base alone would be tough enough. Not saying it's a bad thing though if they give it a shot.

Other than the sculpt Prime 1 has no secret sauce.
It's all in paying any factory enough and having the clout for them to do the job.

They should do 1/4 since the Prime version is seemingly larger than that. Trying to challenge the 1/3 Prime JH this soon? Seems like suicide if you ask me. They could try to make a more dynamic pose, but would that force people to sell the Prime or even double dip? Not likely....

If they can beat Prime to making Wolf or a P2 Elder, they might have a chance, but JH would be a big mistake imo. Another P2 could possibly compete due to the so so response on the production piece.

Would PCS charge the amount necessary to make that happen? Would the usual PCS customer base go that high? And how many people are left who would pay $3K+ for a Jungle Hunter?

I think azurepred's right on the money. They need a Wolf or a P2 Elder and they need it fast. Prime 1 may beat them to a tease, but PCS might be able to beat them to release, given their far shorter production times.
