Those do look a lot better. Still I think it looks a little like a toy or something and I think it is because the polar bears are so smooth with no fur texture whatsoever. Still this does look a lot better and I might get one. Anybody know who am did the sculpting and/or paintwork on this statue?

Anyone know anything about the new book coming out? Get it, or are there better older ones?

I believe that one is being put out by the Frazetta girls which I think are daughters and granddaughters not associated with Jr. There is also a $600 version of this book that is numbered in a metal case or something. I haven?t looked too closely at it to be honest.

I looked into it. I'm not paying $200 for a book. And certainly not the deluxe version for $600. I rather spend that type of money on statues and comics.

Thanks for that indepth insight

I was told TASCHEN puts out nice art books, so I'll still be looking forward to seeing what this ends up looking like.

Their Star Wars book is sublime. Regardless of completeness or Frazetta collectors' standards look at the specs! If accurate tell me that book will not treasured tome!

Dimensions ‏ : ‎ 12.68 x 27.56 x 18.58 inches
Item Weight ‏ : ‎ 10.74 pounds

EDIT : okay looked it up and as usual Amazon is crap. Still looks awesome and no way I'd want the metal collector's edition ofr the loss of that cover.
