Race has nothing to do with it. It's a silly question in my opinion. In the NBA, it's all about filling the seats, and in New York, that means winning. This coach obviously wants to feature the highest paid players. As good as Lin is, he is in essence only a rookie. He has trouble going left, using his left hand shooting, and struggles on defense. If Baron Davis is healthy, he should be playing more than he is. Perhaps they should split minutes. Nonetheless, he needs to play more than 17 minutes a game with Lin's recent struggles.

Ultimately, that is the Knicks problem. A d-bag owner like James Dolan. Melo and Amare on the floor at the same time as Lin means 3 guys that either play no defense or struggle (Lin).

They've looked pretty good the last few games and they are playing with a different effort. That actually makes me sick. They should play hard no matter who the coach is. I guess that's just the way things work nowadays. Dog it until you get what you want.

Don't get me wrong, I was actually happy to see D'Antoni go and prefer Woodson as a defensive minded coach but these guys get paid millions to play a game and doing what they did is a disgrace. The fact that they are actually getting away with it makes it harder to stomach.

...they keep winning and I'll get over it

Racism? I think that essentially went out when Bill Russell started playing the game. First and foremost teams care about who is going to make them win no matter what color. That said, if you're winning it's always nice to have a bit of "show", the the Bird-McHale-Parrish 80s Celtics, Magic-Kareem-Worthy 80s Lakers, the Jordan-Pippen-Rodman 90s Bulls, the Kobe-Shaq 2000 Lakers. Personally I'd love to see Lim as part of a dynasty-level team.

i think that was a statement that the coach shot down the next day. Lin is their only option @ PG right now. i think there are some concerns of him being a permanent solution due to turnovers & consistency. There are also concerns that he only excelled due to D'Antoni's system.

The real issue is that the team quit on their old coach & any new coach will be way of that fact. For all the talk of playoffs i just don't see anything on this team that makes me think they'll be contending soon. They need a version of Oakley on this team.
