There was no mention of War Machine in that article. Iron Patriot is highly possible but not War Machine since the War Machine armor was repainted in IM3 to become Iron Patriot.

Interesting. It's all speculation at this stage. Time will tell but I still think Iron Patriot has a better chance of being in Avengers 2 than War Machine. Since Whedon knows the master plan, I will defer to him.

They did establish Rhodey as "Iron Patriot" in a fairly pointed manner in IM3. To go back on the reasoning would be lazy but having said that Iron Patriot in A2 would present like him being love child of Cap and IM. I really hope that if a hero dies, as Wheddon has insinuated one will, they don't kill off "the token black guy". Rhodey dying would be the likely catalyst to get Tony back in the suit however.

I haven't really been following the production of this movie, but is the "Age Of Ultron" title simply signifying that the conflict will be with Ultron, or will this movie be based on the recent Marvel comic event of the same name?

I like the addition of the "other bad guy." Having him involved just makes sense and will serve to add a bit more continuity to the film. Not sure how much of a spoiler it is though. No way his involvement will remain a secret, especially once the part is cast.

The movie is not based on the 2013 comic event.

Kevin Feige mentioned the following during an interview with Empire in July 2013.

That's good. I just finished reading the trade for Age Of Ultron, and while I enjoyed some of it, I was beginning to have some major concerns about it being adapted for the Avengers sequel. I would much rather see a mix of some of the more classic story lines of Ultron with a modern narrative.
