For sure.
It's possible they haven't decided yet. It's possible the factories haven't confirmed if they can source them yet. That's been the case when light-ups haven't been announced for lightsabers in the past.
But I'm not buying until they confirm metal. If they end up not metal, that's a definite 'wait until release', preferably for discount, and mod myself.
EDIT: It's also shady AF that the responses to the metal question have been fluid. My post was quoted verbatim, and they stated 'metal'... SMH.

It's make or break for me. If they're not metal, I'll be passing on it unfortunately. Wolverine's claws are that important.

The claws are really long on this piece. I wonder if real metal would be avoided because of liability issues.

There's already enough red tape & regulations in everything in life. Now I got to worry about it on the high-end collectibles I want to purchase.... My Predator statues have real metal blades. I'm sure it can be done legally. They don't need to be razor sharp, although I'd prefer that... but at least have the appearance that they're sharp. I don't see a lot of children buying these expensive statues so why make it a problem. If a kid gets a little cut from it, than it's on the parent imo.

Or a pet brushes against it..."Schnookums, why are you bleeding all over the carpet?"

Lol .... Yeah but that's like saying if you leave a kitchen knife on the counter & Schnookums gets a scrape, the knife manufacturer is liable and must no longer make knives out of metal. Children & curious pets don't belong around the collection rooms.

Knives are made out of metal. That's an accepted fact.
It's not generally accepted that blades on a polystone statue are made out of something other than polystone.

After collecting for this long, I’ve just come to accept that more often than not, that the weapons and blades that come with our collectables will not be made from any type of metal. So that when it does come made out of metal, I’m always pleasantly surprised.

I'm happy if they look like metal, no matter what they're actually made of.
