Of course this is the government trying to hurt the average person with some bill called the "American Rescue Act" or something that included this new $600 reporting policy while bailing out gigantic banks, however you will be ok if you keep all your online receipts from companies like sideshow etc... you can still deduct your original cost, it is a big pain, but I kept every email and printed them all and ended up just fine, but it is really stupid and I'm now much less likely to bother with stuff I'm on the fence about from now on because of this stupid $600 crap, I'm not really sure about how you would prove your cost from something you bought in 1995, I guess set up at a flea market or have a yard sale!?
