Here's the finished product, out of the workshop and in the man cave. I was actually able to straighten the sword fairly well after these pics...I was messing with it and it cracked a bit, just enough to get it pretty straight so I glued it up and painted it and not too shabby. Sometimes it's better to be lucky rather than good.
Thanks as always guys!
My next project is on the workbench. This is Quarantine Studios' Lady Death: Seductress 18" 1/6 scale statue, #10 of 30 available in kit form. If you've seen the retail version at Sideshow, she's basically painted a cool white with black cloak, standing in a skeleton hand, embedded in a molten lava rock formation. I'm going to do a Lady Spawn: K-7 Leetha theme, with normal skin tones, black hair with white "M", green eyes and red cloak, and the rock base will ooze green necroplasm. That's my intention anyway. Fingers crossed.
Had to take advantage of the nice weather and low winds today. Got all the pieces primed with Tamiya primer, then hit the base with a nice Tamiya gloss black. The return of good weather means I can use my good primers and sealers now outside.
Funny, the Lady Death should arrive at my place soon.
Accidentally saw that there is a kit and bought it. Customs and shipping are quite expensive but what the heck.
I'm curious what you will do with it.
I was able to get a full day in today, got the base ready for necroplasm, got the basic skin tone done and laid down the base coat for the cloak. I really like how the skeleton hand turned out. My plan for the necroplasm is two shades of bright green and then reinforce it with some green tinted clear resin. Oh yeah....
FYI: all that black shading on the hand....black pan pastel.

Your elven statue is great
LOL Great minds think alike
It's a really good kit for the price and lots of ways to go with it.
Did you finish JL? How did you like it? Don't spoil anything because I still need to watch the second half.
The cloak is done. It's not fit to the body yet.
Started with a base coat of fire red, did the highlights in white and shadow areas dark brown, applied a mid-tone coat of red to blend it together, reinforced the shadows with transparent black and gave a couple highlights a pop of bloody red. Used black pastels on those really tight areas the airbrush can't reach.
