The secret life of walter mitty - 9/10

This movie probably isnt for everyone as im sure many people might find it slow. the gorgeous cinematography and story about a man who day dreams about being more actually becoming who he wants to be keeps me coming back though. It has become a new years tradition for my family and a great way to start the year off that is full of possibilities if youre willing to take a chance or two

Watched 2 great Canadian Indie movies... and if you’re into supernatural / Sci-fi or mutant-like movies, it’s well worth watching.

Freaks (2019) 9/10

The first half of the movie lead to something that wasn’t what you expected. It’s a complete twister... and a good way. It really picked up in the 2nd half. I can’t believe they got this made with a shoestring budget of $2000. Fantastic movie and it’s well worth watching.

Code-8 8.5/10
Kind of like New Mutants meets Heist meets Robocop all gone wrong. Starring the Amell brothers from Flash and Arrow TV shows.

One of my frequent viewing movies of my eleven year old and I. We love it and the "message" that leaving your confort zone can lead to great adventures..

The Apartment (1960) - A man tries to rise in his company by letting its executives use his apartment for trysts, but complications and a romance of his own ensue.

I always in ring in the new year with this favorite which is set primarily between Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. 10/10

Mank (2020) - 1930's Hollywood is reevaluated through the eyes of scathing social critic and alcoholic screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz as he races to finish the screenplay of Citizen Kane (1941).

As much as I revere Citizen Kane as the masterpiece that it is, I'm not that interested in the story behind the screenwriter. However, the acting here is excellent, the dialogue clever, and the cinematography exquisite so it gets high marks. 8/10

I watched Breach - essential a cheaply made Alien replay and wow was it bad! Do not rent, buy or watch this as your time is way better spent elsewhere. I like Bruce Willis, but this was a dialed in favor or paycheck only performance for him. Poor writing, bad story and cheap effects. 0/10
