Discovering Bangladesh one photo at a time

So 'twas my last day in Dhaka and still have not taken any single photograph of the city.

Remembering that Ramadan month is coming to an end, it would mean people traveling back to their home towns.

So where else to take interesting street photography than the city train station. And Dhaka didn't disappoint.

1. I couldn’t imagine the stress of keeping order in this train station during this high travel season. This marshall keeps a watchful eye on passenger awaiting to board the train.

2. People are fascinated when they see someone with a camera and they would actually call you out and ask you to take their portrait.

3.The resigned faces of this family awaiting and anticipating a long and probably uncomfortable trip.

4. Train captain with interesting beard color.

5. I'm totally blown away by the blatant disregard for safety these passengers do just to make it inside (or in this case on top) of the train.

7. Looks fun and I would definitely try this if only I have time to go out of town in Bangladesh.

Such fascinating trip and pictures, but such a poor country.
But they are survivors for sure.

Thank you for the pictures
