Hello there. I'm a newbie to the statue game. To make a long story short, I ordered this piece since March 2018 and I finally received my XM Darth Maul statue Tuesday. I nervously opened the box and was one of the unfortunate ones to have also have a broken tail piece. Man did my heart sink. I sent a message to XM Studios and Spec Fiction Shop. I have been in touch with Todd and he has been very helpful. He has informed me that many other customers have the same issue. It is kind of unfortunate that he has to run around now. I've added some photos.

That sucks.... Given it's happening to so many customers I imagine XM will want to make this right otherwise they're reputation is going to take a hit..
They need to redesign the back piece so that it's a pin that pushes into the backside of Maul instead of it being part of the lower body sculpt... or use magnets... This is an issue DC Collectibles had with many of their statues that had thin capes attached to the body... They need to make them separate parts to avoid breaking..

Thanks for posting. I’m not looking forward to mine at all now. Can’t cancel without losing my deposit. I wouldn’t mind waiting longer if XM will address this issue..
That looks very thin where it is breaking.

Yeah it's very brittle... If your contact hasn't shipped it yet you might have him put it on hold until XM can come up with a solution that works.

I contacted my seller from Singapore, and they said the issue has been fixed, and the batch I will be receiving from will be next. I'm hope from here on out, no collector has this issue  I'll post pics once I get it.

That's what my contact said 5 days ago... and boom broken statue  it's pure luck if your statue shows up unbroken...
The fix doesn't work...

Geez, talk about roll of the dice! They should use the black foam pads that fan arts statues use, that style has never let me down!
