And here I thought Blitzway was supposed to be better than this.

I was contemplating getting the Prime 1 Blitzway Joker. But maybe not. The little bust will be good enough.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Me too.
I preordered this from a local supplier, and he accept no cancellations.

So I'm gonna have to pay for this, and then it will go straight for sale immediately!

I will never trust Blitzway in preorder again, just wait for the final product from now on.

And this is after being pushed-back an additional six months or so past their originally-announced release date.

I'd paid in full up front, based on Blitzway's previous Marilyn (which I also own, and is excellent) .. and I have a few other Blitzway pieces, which each boast high-quality sculpts and delicate paint application.

Not 100% certain I could cancel my order .. guess I'll just wait to see what is delivered, and hope not to be too disappointed.

I'm glad that I didn't pick this up. The quality just isn't there. I wonder if a company like JND would ever do a Marilyn Monroe statue?

It would seem like a no-brainer to pick up a license for icons like Monroe (and Dean, Hepburn and others).

For one thing it would expand their customer base beyond simply the superhero-comic book movie crowd.

If I were JND, I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole....

The collector "community" being what it is, would be savage. Just look at the crap JND have to deal with, with regards to accuracy and likeness.....and that's based on modern day - fresh in your mind, living actors and actresses. Now imagine the "vintage" crowd......

The head sculpt is not as good as their first statue. Something about the chin looks off. Other than that, this looks pretty good.

Looks like more in-hand videos are popping up: https://youtu.be/gGbvA2x1eoQ

This one in more natural lighting and with less extreme close ups is definitely more promising. There are still angles where the likeness is off, but I'm still holding out hope that this is a quality piece.
