Yup, ordered and coming in this week. He took 150 off the total since I don't benefit from free shipping.

How much did shipping end up for you?

Yea, I figured over $300, but that isn't too bad considering the costs these days. At least you got the discount. I hope the customs bill won't be as much or more.

I don't know when it changed, but here in the UK, I used to get billed for VAT after delivery. It worked out well because I rarely had the cash upfront after making a really large purchase. I ordered a sword from the US a few months ago, and they wouldn't release it until the bill was paid immediately. I don't import that often though, so I don't know if this reflects a change in UK policy or is specific to certain shipping companies.

Probably too many people not paying or stalling, so they hold it to make sure you pay up front.

Finally, after nearly a year of payments, my Red Sonja is ready to ship. The shipping fee (500 USD) came as quite a shock though. As it stands, I'm going to have to part with a few collectibles just to cover it. I'm not looking forward to that customs bill either.

This is one statue you will never regret purchasing but that shipping charge is a jaw breaker!!

Yeah, I believe the original estimate was 330 USD. When you factor in VAT, I'll have literally paid 80% of the statue cost again just to get it into the UK. Mad.

So she arrived today, a bit earlier than expected. It's my first 1/3 and easily my favourite piece in my collection. I sold my old metal display cabinets with LED to replace them with a wooden one, which has yet to arrive, so for now she's just plonked in the corner on a desk.

Sadly, there were two small breaks to the hair, but nothing that can't be easily repaired.
