Buying a modem for comcast?
Ok so come january i am moving to a new apartment south NJ. im not going to get cable, dont watch TV much anymore but i use the net all the time.
i dont want to rent a modem from comcast and was thinking of buying a modem from best buy. The motorola one. People say its faster then any comcast one you rent.
So anyone have their own modem for comcast? any issues with doing this or is it simple?

It should be pretty straight forward installing your own modem you should also look at the Linksys brand Modems...

ok i guess i will get the motorola one. it has DOCSIS 3.0 which is what i want. Comcast rents out cheaper modems and this motorola seems to be a good choice for gamers.
I dont buy linksys anymore, had way to many issues with their products.
