The Crush - interesting to note, this was Alicia Silverstone's first movie, she was 16. Its about a 14 year old girl that becomes obsessed with an older man (played by Cary Elwes) that is renting the guest house at her parents estate. Once she feels shes been rejected by him she stops at nothing to destroy his career, relationships, friends, finances etc etc the usual kinds of things that happen in these types of movies lol overall though I probably enjoyed this more than I should have. Cary Elwes was great in the role and was very good at portraying his internal struggle (it was never explicitly stated but to me it was clear part of him absolutley wanted to get with this 14 year old girl) and Alicia Silverstone was deliciously sinister and gave a great performance considering it was her first role. My only complaint would be the movie is a bit tame in comparison to others of this type - 8/10

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood - I was expecting a bit more from this movie, Tom Hanks did a great job as Fred Rogers though. For me it didnt really land the emotional impact it was going for, not sure why, it was trying to pull at the heart strings but just wasn't happening for me - 7/10

Angels In The Outfield (1951) - 8/10
What a great old baseball movie. Kind of A Miracle On 54th Street w/o the Christmas. A nice slice of just post-War America back when a lot of fellas wore ties to the ball game & women might wear a hat. Laughs, drams, a few tears, this one is a great example of a schmaltzy, fun B&W movie with a great, innocent plot.
