Nice details and smothness. Did you greyscale the under layer first? I usually do my oils with a burnt umber layer. Great work and I know the time it takes to these. Oil paint takes a long time to dry if using linseed oil as well.

Yup, i do a tight pencil drawing underneath the painting.
The work is beautiful - I can't say anything against it - the only comment I have is and this is just my opinion I would have use an older or different model - she doesn't look like Jean Grey to me but that just me
