A couple of reasons is my guess.

1. Some people while enjoying the artistic liberties with the 1/5 line, have expressed wanting more of a classic Filmation line with realistic paint jobs. So a hybrid of TH's 1/5 line and PCS's short 1/4 line.

2. A new line is more money.

3. TH has already said they are going to reapproach He-Man for the 1/5 line since he is long sold out and harder to get. Same for Skeletor.

You can't say that as of now because pieces like the new Joker and Scarecrow haven't been released. If those pieces come out at even 90% of the prototype, they will most definitely be in the same league (if not better) than any of the 1/6 scale pieces XM has done.

In 1/5 this would be a $1,500 statue.

Although I have the PCS version, I may consider getting this one.

Will definitely be getting this. I have the PCS set but will sell these I think. I think the 1/6 scale for these will be perfect.

Yep, that's the first thing my wife and I said when we got poison ivy. Especially considering the cost difference, we were really impressed with the quality, vs what XM typically gives.

There's definitely a couple small QC issues with mine but I don't think I've ever gotten an XM statue without QC issues either. As long as these match the prototype and come out looking like ivy and Catwoman did, I'll be happy to keep tossing these guys my money.

As for the price on this, I'm expecting it to be pretty high but more or less reasonable. I'll guess between $699-$899, given it's 1/6 and not 1/5. Hopefully more towards the former, but I can see this being more because it's basically two characters.... At least, that'll be the argument.

What a wonderful set. I hope that it will not be too expensive. And I truly hope that it will not be too big for me to display it properly.

And the start of a new classic style line in 1/6 scale? Why are you doing this to me, Tweeterhead? Here is the deal: I solemnly swear that I will collect that line, IF Teela (she has to be included, right?) will get her snake armor, much like the vintage toy.
