I disagree that would have gotten SSC anywhere. People would have just been -----ing about the increased shipping cost (oh yeah they have already been doing that), and with tis design choice the display options will start to become very broad.... modern raging, Maestro, Buscemia, Trimpe, Keown all of those Hulk representations are possible now

Having other choices available wouldn't bother me anywhere near as much than producing pieces with gap issues. Also, it's not like SS has to offer all those other variants based on this one model. They could produce different sculptures too.

I agree about having more sculpts, but the way I see it the change of head allows people to personalize this one more then a change of torso. If I want to put my classic raging Hulk on display switch head, Keown switch head, Busemia switch head. Switchout torsos would be space and cost prohibitive. In a way this piece can become the Hulk that just about anyone wants it to be, AND when in doubt if the seam is driving them nuts there are loads of guys who could mod the statue to permanently attach a head to the body.

We are already paying higher shipping costs and higher prices in general. The problem is SS chose to go the COH route and obviously have hailed in this instance the design and execution is Poor. A change of torso could be hidden below the belt line. Even the regular was released with a removable head. That is bad decision making right there.

Shipping rates are going up world wide SSC can't change that. While I agree a change of torso would have hidden the seam much better, trust me when I say I understand the design issues that go along with a sculpt from first hand experience, but you would be increasing the box size and weight by about 1/3. Increasing the shipping costs and package size for storage. It is a catch 22.

By the way risingstar.... Balanced and fair... I disagree with the knock down for the head seam a little, but that is just me.

I can't imagine the size of the box and shipping cost if it was a change of torso.... Yikes

It would be crazy.... Two seperate torsos that would need all the extra packaging material needed in between them and the legs and base... My 1/3 may be on the low end.

You think that head seam is acceptable for a $550 collectible? Add the $95 shipping and the undoubted $100 plus imports mine had better be an improvement on what I have seen.
