Andor (Disney+)

Arrives August 31

Trailer:
https://youtu.be/j5UX1Adanis

Looks good, I like the tone, dark. Glad to hear Mon Mothma will have a big role, and I forgot Stellan Skarsgaard is in this, big win...and of course Diego Luna, he's the man And it's 12 episodes, by far the longest D+ Star Wars series (or MCU for that matter), with another 12 for season 2 on the way. The only bummer is K-2SO apparently won't appear until next season...but maybe they'll surprise us.

Looks interesting. I think the Disney shows and movies are better based off characters they are creating and not pre-established movie characters. At least so far.

There are no expectations with Andor. He can be whatever they decide so hard to be disappointed.

My one hope watching this is we get alien characters. For all they have in Star Wars it feels like humans almost always get the named roles (my biggest complaint about the Rogue One crew).

That's why I love "Guardians of the Galaxy". And because it's totally funny during Star War's, well... Star War's is

the lack of alien species definitely stuck out to me, if they didnt have various troopers marching around i would never had guessed this was star wars related

He was a damaged man in Rogue One. This can only be the terrible journey of the things he had to do in the darkest of times.

A really interesting aspect of Andor's show structure was revealed. Showrunner Tony Gilroy said the show covers the 5 years preceding Rogue One. Season 1 will cover 4 years, and Season 2 will cover the final year. Gilroy explained...

"Directors work in blocks of three episodes, so we did four blocks [in Season 1] of three episodes each. We looked and said, ?Wow, it?d be really interesting if we come back, and we use each block to represent a year. We?ll move a year closer with each block. From a narrative point of view, it?s really exciting to be able to work on something where you do a Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and then jump a year."
