Why did you return your previous one?

shoulder (or her left arm) was broken, i think it was because of the packaging. the plastic wrap was too tight plus the Styrofoam compressed it breaking the shoulder. many time i got statue where they were broken because they got crush under Styrofoam. they need to come out with different or better was of packaging now.

I know what you mean. I ordered this ultra line Cammy a second time and I have the same problem with the hair again. It's damaged and will not hold.

Best of luck on your end.

Has anybody figured out the color for the boots?

I'm using Ivory Black but it's too dark. I'll have to wipe it off before it dries. It doesn't seem to stick well on the boot either.

I ended up going ahead last night and painted over the entire boot and the tongue for the statue. Spent about 5 hours on it. I didn't get into bed until late. XD

I tried to just touch up the scuff marks I had on the boot but it was darker than the paint already on it. Since this was the case I just did the entire thing. I'm going to let it set and then seal it later.

It wasn't too bad but the tongue on the boot was by far the hardest part (the part that was initially red). The paint didn't want to stay on and kept wiping with every pass. I had to essentially dab it on with thick amounts to keep it from going away. Once it sets a bit I will take off any excess amount. Once it sets long enough I will then seal it.

I'm actually quite pleased with my first statue painting job. In fact I thoroughly enjoyed it so much that I will do more sculpting and painting as a personal hobby. I've always been into art and I find it very enjoyable and therapeutic.

I hope this helps answer any questions or doubts for those who haven't painted before as it was my first time. Maybe you see something I did that you might find you want to do differently. I'm happy to be the guinea pig this time around.

I hope you are enjoying your statues!

Oh you...

I used Ivory Black. I had already started painting before I realized Ivory Black made it darker anyways, so I just did the whole boot over. I posted inquiring about the color on this thread and Facebook but I didn't want it to dry out.

It looks better now.

Question. Do any of you know how to remove extra "gunk" from the boots? Since that tongue didn't want to stay when I painted, I had to dab it. Someone told me to use matte varnish primer in the future but I do have a few bumps if that makes sense.

Any suggestions? Perhaps some sort of tool?

for me the only way to get that out without using paint stripper is to get very fine sand paper and sand off the bumps then recoat with the paint you used....the paint should go on a lot better after that

so i got all three but on the killer bee (alpha) statue, does any one else having issue with her right pony tail. it fits perfectly fine, but it is so close to the statue that the head refuse to go in fully. if i try to put the pony tail after inserting the head, it simply does not go in since her should and body is blocking it. i know i am putting both left and right properly since they both fitting in. if i try to put the other way, they wouldn't fit in properly.

Also shoe color on Classic outfit is black, on Alpha outfit it is brown.
