Hopefully this and magneto are a wake up call for SS. At the very least engineer 2 options if they insist on fabric capes.

there is no doubt in my mind that they would have sold a lot more if they stuck with sculpted.
I'm going to doubt the fabric had as much of an impact as you think it did.

I don't think so either. You're giving a awful lot of credit to a C- list character that doesn't have TnA on his side. 1000 es seem about right.

Anyone that’s followed Marvels 80 years of comic history knows Dr Strange

I blame millennials

I’m buying Marvel pieces and only Marvel because of the comics

I couldn’t care less of the MCU after Infinity War

Marvel and DC comic based for me but I did take a long look at the Iron Studios End Game Cap. That piece is super nice.

I know some collectors are vehemently against fabric. That’s fine, we all have preferences. But as someone neutral, I don’t care either way if it’s just a cape, belt, jacket (although I prefer NOT the whole costume), I’ll 3rd that notion, a fabric cape probably had minimal impact on this.

I’m sure fabric scares away a small percentage of potential customers but if fabric really hurt SS to a large degree I think they wouldn’t continue to use it. After all, they do want money.

I think it makes sense that 15 years ago the smaller, cheaper statue had double the ES of a statue that 15 years later is much more expensive, requires a larger space investment, faces a different type of market that’s conditioned by Exclusives, and had its ES determined during a global pandemic.

The MCU after Infinity War might be hot garbage with a few potential exceptions for me. Not excited either.

As for Dr Strange, I am happy with the 1/10 Iron Studios versions. Just don't have the space for every character at 1/4 or above.

This Dr Strange is a cool piece but over priced.

I passed because of the fabric. Big downside to the piece.
