I want a Carnage more like how he was in “Maximum
Carnage” where his red and black are both intertwined gooey strands (most of his tendrils in old art are red, on statues they’re always black) and he has more black, as opposed to the more modern take of red muscle fibers and strands of black goo on top. It’s SS’s 3rd Carnage and the body style is the same. But I think I like this version the best.
Bowen’s Carnage is the closest anyone’s gotten and still ain’t it.
I like this PF’s pose and the tendrils though.

Me you and both.
Both Venom and Carney are the definitive looks in that series IMO

Agree 100%. Also probably because that storyline is what got me hooked on reading Spider-Man.
I realize art is subjective and character looks can evolve over time but I’ll always prefer the classic “full gooey” Carnage with mixed black and red more than the modern red Carnage with a few black strands on top style that every statue company makes at this point for some reason.
I do like this PF though.

The Diamond Select Carnage is the one I have in my collection atm. I think it fits the Bagley "aesthetic" pretty well.

Yea same… Maximum Carnage was great stuff. On par with the Secret Wars , and the hobgoblin stuff for me.

I don't think the Batman Begins piece has an EX, either. Superman: Call to Action doesn't have one, or the latest Black Canary.

Still not feeling that large arm. It distracts from the rest of the piece in my opinion.

Amazing Spider-Man 361 was one of the first comics I bought with my own money so I get having a soft spot for the period, art (Bagley), and characters.

That's kind of my one issue with it too. I hope there's a switch out arm with just his normal clawed hand.

One could say that SS are bold and decisive in their art direction for this trio (Symbiote Spidey, Venom, Carnage) if they all in fact have no switchouts, but Carnage really begs for one, considering his varied appendages and diverse portraits.
