Carnage Base looks like it took a piece from the Iron Spider-Man base. Very similar. Would pair nicely together. Especially since they are not your OG Spider-Man or Carnage.

I don't like his portrait at all, and it isn't because of swirl. It's more so the weird nubbins they're using to represent his teeth. I also hate the red above them that may or may not be his "gum" line, it's hard to tell with the current images out now. This piece is not worth 1200 dollars, just a huge letdown.

I could have sworn the Venom and Carnage were supposed to be done by the Kucharek Brothers. If this was their piece I'm not sure if it's them or the shoddy art director at XM is to blame for this.

That's one of the reasons I like that one too. It's still the best transformation head I've seen.
Happy to be on that Island!

The statue reviewers these days are more akin to influencers and I know they threw around some negative comments on the original XM Carnage as a bandwagon with others jumping on.

The transformation head sold me and has yet to be done again. There was also a lot of work put into the tendrils and body sculpt with multiple switch outs. Best Carnage in my opinion.

Yeah, a lot of switchouts, a lot of detail, but in exchange, the base is bland and plain. BUT, a stone steeple IS plain, so I don't care about that too much.

In the end, I doubt anyone changes their mind about it - but I do believe it's a candidate for tops in the category "pictures don't do it justice". Looks much better in person.

I definitely expected the larger skeletal body from the comics. XM got the 2 back protrusions though.

You?re right. Same goes for Venom, too. But here?s my Carnage:

Statue companies all want to make a red muscle fiber looking textured Carnage with stringy black goo on top, but my Carnage is a red and black swirl and his tendrils are, too. A big reason I haven?t bought any of the 1/4 Carnage statues. I need something close to a 1/4 Bagley version.

I'd have to say that's pretty much my Carnage too, but (and I think we've talked about it before) I still like the first XM and the Koto Fine Art. But you're right - none have nailed it yet, so I'm always looking...
