What is surprising is they used the lettering that,s from 2002-2006, Hush -preNew52.

weird thing is I don't remember that many Batman statues up to SSC getting the license. DC Dir made a few, but once SSC got the license so many companies started to make him a lot

DC Direct spit them out like Candy before Sideshow got the license, but the reason you don't remember a lot of other companies previous to that is because DC Direct/Collectibles didn't give out the license.

Until 2011 we thought they might never allow other companies, besides Hallmark, to use it.

well I’m curious... I’m still loving my 19’ model. So not quite sure I’ll get this one. Heck I haven’t even received my new 52 Batman yet.

Thanks. Then there you go. Another thing we can thank Batman for is he was the statue that SSC started making the large ES, I think is the biggest one they have had.

Well not quite. I want to say their original Darth Vader PF sold some ridiculous number as well.

Also, before Sideshow got the license, and they did do 10,000 Batman Pfs to start. DC Direct did two 1/4 scale Batman pieces to compete with Sideshow in the 1/4 market. I believe the first one sold through 1250pcs and the second did 1800pcs.

And they were in no way as well made as Sideshow PFs.

So that probably gave Sideshow an idea that if they did a good Batman they could sell an absolute crap ton of him.
