It's a shame that one dud causes the entire line to be cancelled.

Poor sale numbers ? I can't find Green Lantern anywhere with a reasonable price...

Dang, with this line canceled, I guess my hopes of a Superman rerun are dashed. Hopefully my Batman preorder isn't dead.

I don't understand that statement either. I knew that they did a second run with the Green Lantern. Even with that, it is still hard to find.

May be if the second Aquaman movie is a blockbuster movie, they will reconsider releasing it.

Yeah that is a disheartening statement .

I love how the line looks so far and fail to comprehend how Green Lantern would not sell that good.

I guess that it`s fine to produce 5 Wolverine Fine Art statues and remake Captain America, Thor and Cyclops and at the same time create a whole new My Little Pony Bishoujo line ( which is getting quite pricey with its latest releases ) but there is no love for the release of one Aquaman and one Martian Manhunter statue so the fans and supporters of Koto who have collected the line so far can create an awesome, consistent display.

I really hope that they continue the line in 1 or 2 years.

Just had a look at the box office for Aquaman (2018) and it is currently 1.148 billion USD.

P.S. I mean no disrespect to the collectors of My Little Pony. It is just baffling how quickly that line got produced in contrast to the DC ArtFX 1/6 scale statues

Yea, this pretty much sucks!!

Was actually hoping that they would release Aquaman ...at the very least. Damnit!!

Personally I thought the GL statue was the best of the bunch. I sold mine due to needing funds and regret it.

Generally speaking, the current aftermarket value for Green Lantern may be picking up since there are fewer pieces in circulation.

And to clarify this decision wasn't solely dependent on Green Lantern; we started to see the numbers decline with the release of ARTFX Flash.

For the record I would love to see Aquaman made. I was actually the person who pushed to have it added to the panel and made the announcement. Also, as a side note we need to take into account the availability of the sculptor for this line, Kouei Matsumoto, into consideration. I don't think we would do a Jim Lee Aquman unless Matsumoto-san could take on this project.

I know what I'm saying may be unpopular but I'd rather have a company representative be transparent (as much as possible) rather then just avoiding the difficult questions. I appreciate this thoughtful discussion and am happy to contribute when I can.

There's nothing unpopular about it Gonk! It's hard for us customers to imagine just all of how things work so thanks for the insights.

Here's a bit more customer insight:

Koto had to expect past D.C.'s trinity that interest would wane some. In all honesty Flash was a bit of a dud missing some of that gotta get pizzazz. Not a criticism against anyone involved with making it, that's just how things turn out sometimes. A running pose would be hard but Flash doesn't have the cred or costume going for him like the others.

Green Lantern goes back to having the presence of the first 3 so there's that. And this is all coming from a causal person. I bought the first 3 not because a fan or even wanted the characters but loved the sculpts and the quality of the finished product. I thought I'd get GL but stock ran out. May not be obvious but sometimes Koto is competing with itself. Christmas rolls around and interest turned to Bishoujos cause figured JL characters would keep going till finished.

GL and Flash don't have the same trendiness as the first 3 either. Aquaman has a hit movie and metallic costume though which already puts weight in his favor.
