That looks awful. Looks like someone just dumped Wite-Out all over it.

What's hilarious is that Jim Lee has stated himself the costume was originally supposed to be a shiny, metallic black. It ended up looking silver. Then somehow it ended up this ----ty white color in the animated series.

You know what I still see - the cape on the right arm is attached to the forearm, not the wrist. That is the exact arm I had issues with where it wouldn't stick at all. My replacement is en route and should be here today. I will find out how Round 2 goes tonight/tomorrow.

I think they painted her hair more white too, which I REALLY want to do to mine. I get the grey is lowlight shading, but it's always just a little too much. XM's is very bad.

I think the paint job is pretty decent. I see a little shine on her chest area, maybe there is more that the camera isn't picking up because of the darker lighting. It just seems something to not seem so flat. Wish I had the balls to try and paint a statue...I don't and have never tried...

I love your tenancy. I feel the exact opposite way, but respect none the less I wouldn't be surprised if a white variant is in this statue's future. What I really want is a black lightning bolt variant!!

That's how I always saw it too, a very shiny black color. Not sure how it got changed up so much afterwards.

I have to agree with this, maybe the picture wasn't good but the white is to much, needs some sort of good shading and toned down white brightness. I may not want a white costume but if your going to do it, needs more work.

I read that they had a hard time animating the black. Not sure if it was the highlights or what, but that's why they decided to go white.

Yet they consistently animated partial to fully black costumes throughout the entire show. Maybe the difficulty was they just didn’t like how it looked for her costume? But early 90s, we’ll never really know.

I was the BIGGEST John Byrne/Alpha Flight fan in the 80's. I think Guardian/Vindicator, North Star/Aurora would make awesome 1/4 statues. Snowbird too. I just missed getting a complete set of the Bowen busts, but I have always wanted them in 1/4.

I have this Storm coming next month, not sure what else I would buy from Marvel that I still need.
