Emerald City Con sketches

Really good turnout for this con. It keeps growing every year. Met up with the Tattoos (X & S) and Scottsdale Saint. Got lucky and was able to get sketches by Tim Sale and Adam Hughes. Bought a couple of pages of "Strangers In Paradise" from Terry Moore(a very nice guy!). Sale had a bunch of Heroes art in his folder for people to see. Unfortunately none of the art was for purchase, but it was funny that there was a small sticker attached to each of the pages that said "Reserved for Ken". So there ya go MONSTER! You are Sales' reason for not selling them. Actually I think he said the reason he couldn't sell them was that they're the property of NBC.

Captain Marvel by Tim Sale.

Mary Marvel by Adam Hughes (Finally!!)

Aw jeez! He picked it. I saw it as her getting "spanked" by lightning but now that you mention farting......it's all I see now.

At first, I thought the same thing. But even if it's not, I've seen other fart pics from Hughes.

When I got my Spider-Woman I made sure to mention that I did not want her funny.... I saw one he did where Spider-Woman's left breast was over her shoulder, and the other was below her waist.

For a couple of hours. I figured to stay all of Sunday just on the chance of getting a Hughes sketch. But since I got both sketches today, there's not much need to stay for all of Sunday.

Sale handed out tickets early with a specific time for you to come back and get a 10 minute sketch. There is only one to a person for the whole show. Sorry I can't be of help there to you.

Hi KK,

Congrats on scoring the Mary Marvel sketch from Adam! I've been hoping that people lucky enough to score a sketch from Adam at Emerald City would post scans of their acquisitions so thanks very much

By the way, do you have a CAF (Comicartfans) gallery and do you intend posting a larger scan of your Hughes piece there? If not, the Hughes-Fans Yahoo group would really appreciate viewing a decent scan of your Mary Marvel. Let me know if it's ok with you to post a scan to the group. Best,

Nice pickups Chris!

met Tattoo-X (John) & Krypton Knight (Chris) today. very nice guys and it's cool to be able to put a face with a forum tag. now i know who i have to run in front of from now on.

anyways, the Captain Marvel is sweet, and the Hughes piece is pretty damn nice as well. just ignore MB, he's jealous...
