Nikon D40x?

I'm looking for an entry level dslr so I can start taking some better shots of my sculpts. I'm on a pretty tight budget. I'm looking at the Nikon D40x with just the stock lens. Does anyone on here have any experience with this camera? Any shots of figures? Thanks!

i can't say i know much about the Nikon series of cameras. SquiderM3 now uses a Nikon D3 body but that's quite the budget for starting out! if you don't mind looking at Canon then i can highly recommend the Rebel XTi body or maybe the older XT. the newer models are the XS and XSi but if you're just starting out then the XTi is a perfect camera to invest in. i have it and i can see myself using it for a few years.
