Looks like they went more for "compassionate" Superman than "confident" Superman. That's the vibe I get, anyway.

Love that the base shield is an exact replication of shield design used in the film's original marketing.
Unfortunately, that's pretty much it with this piece for me.
Forty years ago this minute, I was jumping out of my skin anticipating the release of this film's sequel in a couple months.
I would have probably been up for this- despite the excessive price- just as a homage to that kid I used to know.
Other than the price point, I like every thing else about it just fine- except the portrait.
They got close - but not close enough for the price, IMO. And the expression they signed off on is just one big face palm for me.
Maybe just as well.
