I wonder how those licensing rights work. D&D owns the world those take place in, but they don’t own the characters. I don’t think. Actually, Dark Horse comics may have a say in the matter since they publish the Vox Machina comics.
As for the announcement, I’m thinking they go with the heavy hitter D&D names. Drizzt, Elminster, maybe the Dragonlance crew. Probably my villains too. Strahd, Lord Soth, Vecna etc etc.
I’m down for just Salvatore’s crew though. Drizzt, Bruenor, Wulfgar, Cattie Brie v1 or v2, Artemis, Jarlaxle, even Zaknafein. Hell, I’d splurge on villains too! Obould, Tiago Baenre, any of em.
