Scrubs 1-9

8/10

This was my first time seeing these since they first aired and it's still well worth a watch, it's funny and even manages to tug on the old heart strings on occasion. Season 9 however is tough to get through, so much so that you almost don't care that it randomly just ends without any wrapping up after presumably being hastily cancelled? I wanted to do the whole thing but you'd be fine to skip this one. It ditches most of the cast, and entirely undoes the emotional progression of the characters that it does carry over to the point where they are caricatures of who they had become by season 8. A season which had a perfect ending anyway. Stick with 1-8 and there is plenty of entertainment to be had.

The Underground Railroad - A young woman named Cora makes an amazing discovery during her attempt to break free from slavery in the deep south.

Slavery isn't a story I find enjoyable to revisit, but this alternate history mini-series while at times brutal was also often beautiful and I can easily see myself watching it again. It deservedly got an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Limited Series today. 9.5/10

Superheroes Decoded

I was clearing out the DVR and forgot this two-episode docuseries from a few years back was on there. It's OK--a very basic introduction to the world of superhero comics and movies. 6/10
