I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Decided to throw on a couple of classics, and to me there was a period in time when John Carpenter could do no wrong. (Especially with Kurt Russell)

Big Trouble In Little China (1986) - 10/10

Be hard to even label what kind of movie this is except awesome.

Followed by

The Thing (1982) - 10/10

Again not much to say except classic.

Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths ~ 3/5

another solid DC animated flick. Seemed suitable to watch it with Forever Evil recently finishing and the Multiverse currently happening (comics). Not a fan of the voice cast and the ending was rushed (like usual), but definitely one to see.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For - 4/10

I have never been so disappointed in a movie. I found it a forgettable mess. It was laborious to get through and I started to feel that way about 5 seconds in.

I thought Eva Green's large amount of topless scenes was tacky. She is better than this.

Was also annoyed with the actor they chose for Manute. Every time he talked all I could think about was the stupid Allstate commercials.

Really, the only reason I am giving this one a 4, is due to me feeling sad for it and really loving the first one.

I see why only one theater in all of Wisconsin had it and why it was gone after two days.

Just bad...

But Eva Green was more than topless, that alone deserves a 5.

Catch Me If You Can ~ 3/5

Good film, though a tad long-winded at times. The pace was a bit off as well as he went from a simple con into an incredibly complex con in a matter of seconds with no real description of the process involved.

Riddick (2013) - 7/10

3rd installment of the Riddick series. Better than the 2nd one (Chronicles of Riddick). Has more of tone the first one had (Pitch Black). Liked his alien dog sidekick.

hunger games p3: 6/10. I admit, I was a fan of the first two. this one to me was complete filler and couldn't really stand on its own as a separate movie.

22 jump street: 8/10. both this and 21 have been great silly fun. a couple of the best action / comedy movies I have seen in a long time.

maleficent: 8.5 / 10. much much better than I expected. great story, great effects. really good rental.

I loved Chronicles, but really couldn't get into this one, I might give it another go at some point.

I liked chronicles, just not as much as this one or the first one. As a whole I like the Riddick saga. Interested to see if it goes anywhere from here.
