Wonder Woman Earth One

I just finished the vol. 1 which was in shrink wrap for a long time on my shelf. It was fine, 7/10. Not the best work of Morrison though.

I like Wonder Woman and Amazons. Hercules depiction in Wonder Woman comics may be considered as controversial by some. I think He has always been depited As a misogynist opresor of women in Wonder Woman comics...

Wonder Woman Earth One, vol. 1 graphic novel started as Hercules was the victor in the war against Amazons and put all the Amazons in a cage except The Queen of The Amazons Hippolyta and humiliating her infront of them... pulling the chain tied to Hippolyta's throat and saying things like ''heel ! the ----- of Hercules'' and other misogynist things that opres her...

This is really far from Hero Hercules from the myths, i know. I think Hercules really fought against The Amazons in a war and won in The Greek Mythology (i'm no expert) Well, Hercules is a fictional character, anyone can write anything about him but even if he fought against The Amazons in the myths, seeing him as this misogynist villian was really interesting...

It was a short graphic novel. I enjoyed mostly the trial of Diana and how Amazons found Obes Etha Candy from the Men's world morbid and bizarre... seeing a fatso for the first time xD There was some Shakespeareian elements to the story like The Three Witches from Macbeth and they also lived in The Paradise Island, they were speaking like in The Shakespeare plays and they were at the trial of Diana.

Overall, i enjoyed it but Wonder Woman might be a big turn off for Heroic Hercules fans... Anyone reading it other than me in the forum ?

Pathfinder, huh. I saw them on amazon long time ago and considered getting. I like a boardgame's fantasy books or comicses like D&D books and comicses but Sideshow had announced an amazing statue at that time and as result of that, i no longer had the budget for Pathfinder Comicses, unfortunatly... If i remember correctly.

Nice, and what do you think about the depiction of the hercules in the graphic novel ? I don't think you have any problem since you really liked the vol. 1 but actually, what do you think about the angry people about the subject ? for example Marvel's Hercules fans won't be happy about their favorite hero depicted as a misogynist woman opresor brute ? right ? do you think they are right to be angry ?

I understand you, buddy. I really like Witchblade myself.

The half naked, bikini armored hot babes of our teen age years, huh. They left a lasting mark on us...

Wow, i just learned Morrison came out as a Non-Binary Person in an interview, so They are reffered to as '' They '' i'm warned about it in a discord group. i was going to be banned, if i didn't change the pronoun to They for Grant Morrison...
