This figure has a lot of little parts, many different paint colors and a crazy amount of paint ops. That drives the price as much and maybe more than scale.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I'm all for less complex figures, if it means they won't be so pricey they are are no longer realistically attainable.

The pink pug looks like a piglet.

My biggest issue with this statue is that is seasonal. A Christmas theme statue is odd to display out of season. That's why I never bought an Christmas / Holiday these DC statues, figures, etc. I'll wait for the next one as I am a fan of Shunya Yama----a.

Agree wholeheartedly with both of you!
Price is way out of hand, even taking into account the complexity of any modeling/painting. And like you said, no big license fee... Maybe they just expect low sales since prospective buyers will have no idea who this is? Or maybe the low sales are self-fulfilling at this price level?

Sticking to the Marvel/DC lines. Hoping for some affordable reissues and maybe new characters/poses. If $100+ is the new norm for any and all, I'll probably think about stepping away.

This bishoujo statue looks very nice but the price is way more than it should.
