I know Oregon has some great fly-fishing spots, but I barely scratched the surface on that before I moved... I fly fish in Norcal when I'm up there, though.

Taking the wife on a cruise of alaska in two weeks. Hoping fishing up there will be cool. I havent fished in years though

What ports are you stopping at?

My ex-wife and I did a Princess Cruises' "Inner Passage" Cruise a while back... had a fantastic time. Stopped at Ketchikan, Skagway, Juneau and some others, with pontoon-planing, dog-sledding on glaciers, etc etc as our port excursions.
We loved it; have fun with the fishing!! Lots of humpbacks/orcas/etc up there, too. Lots of fun.

I've lived in every climate you could think of, but I've always wondered what it would be like to live up there, with their crazy-long winters.

We are taking Amtrak up to Seattle, then getting on Royal Carribeans 'Rhapsody of the Seas"

Its a 7 day cruise. Ports are Juneau, Skagway, something called Tracy Arms Straits, and then Vancouver BC on the way back.

Is it sad Im going to Alaska, and all I can think is is "I wonder if they have comic stores up there"?

caught the heck out of the fish last weekend so this Mothers day we are going to out hunting grounds to check it out and ride the 4 wheelers. Let the dogs run wild too!!
